After another fantastic year, seeing the turnover nearly double to over £8m in 2011, Logical Personnel Solutions have invested in new premises in Bristol.  The offices, in the Willow Brook Centre, Bradley Stoke have been renovated to accommodate the expanding team who manage the Company’s Southern operations.  The move gives Logical PS the ability to expand their team further and is a real look to the future  growth of the business.  In 2011 Logical Personnel Solutions invested time and resources in migrating to a new IT platform and incorporated a state of the art recruitment database to help manage an increasing number of projects arising from relationships with a number of blue chip clients.

Ben Lerner, Managing Director commented “We have been looking for suitable premises for some time as the offices in the Aztec Centre have been a little small for us for some time, limiting our growth. We are looking to grow the number of employees this year and the new offices will accommodate these plans”.  

Selected staff have been studying hard to sit the tests that are required to obtain the qualifications, this now enables us to add more further value to our already extensive service provided within the UK nuclear industry.

As part of a new service we can offer to clients we are now qualified to test candidates in oral drug and alcohol testing. This service is currently in practice at several of our contracts on EDF sites. This ensures the candidates are eligibility and suitable to work for you. Oral tests are conducted for drugs of abuse and a breathalyser is used to obtain the results for alcohol testing. The service we are currently providing for the outage is Pre-Employment testing, but we can provide routine testing and for-cause testing.

This a service we are providing with the strictest of confidentiality and within the short time we have tested over 100 candidates and with all testing procedure running smoothly.

Almost the entire 2,000-strong population lined the streets of Hugh Town to greet the Royal couple.

The Queen’s trip saw her visit the new £15m Five Island School. The Queen officially opened the Sports Hall named in her Majesty’s honour, much to the delight of the tradesman who had spent months working on the project.

We are going on a banger rally 3000 miles across Europe the destination is still a secret and its all in aid of the CLIC Sargent charity. CLIC supports children and young people with cancer. They provide a huge range of services from specialist social workers and nurses, to free accommodation near hospitals, holidays, and even financial support. They support from diagnosis and treatment, to hospital and home to after treatment helping survivors and the bereaved. As anyone who knows me will no doubt be aware I was diagnosed with Cancer in 2006. I have since fully recovered and I now feel the time is right to start giving something back. Cancer charities do so much for so little and can really help recovery, mentally, financially, and physically.  I was 27 when my world changed, and I was too old to deal with CLIC, however I am very aware of their work and it really is to be commended. CLIC helps children and their families, helping reduce the pressures that would go with being ill at such a young age and caring for kids in this position. This cause is very close to both of us and we believe we can raise around £3000 with your help.

The Task:
We are taking part in the scumrun www.scumrun.co.uk. You may have heard of the Gumball Rally well its an equivalent however all the cars have to be valued under £500. The event is sponsored by Fast Car magazine and will be covered by Sky. Our money went towards an old Toyota MR2 with wheels different sizes a ford steering wheel that does fit properly, a roof that leaks and that’s before we opened the bonnet. Very luckily we stumbled upon our angel Paul from www.woodsport.org a MR2 specialist who is going to work on our vehicle making sure it is road worthy, Paul has done all of this work for free as his sponsorship to us and we can’t thank him enough.

The Result:
