Our client is one of the country’s leading energy providers is looking for Engineering Co-ordinator to be based out of their Bellshill office.

Main Purpose of Job – Reporting to the Engineering Manager, responsible for co-ordinating the delivery of collective engineering solutions across a multi-disciplinary transmission network engineering dept. Communicating with and facilitating works between Dept Managers and Engineering staff within Overhead Line & Cable, Plant, Control & Protection and Civil/Structural Engineering Depts for a portfolio of projects.Programming works and maintaining an overview to be able to prioritise/escalate works to meet client requirements.Providing an initial point of contact for engineering queries raised by internal or external parties where works will vary from engineering feasibility to detailed design.

Accountabilities·Responsible for coordinating pre-delivery design and detailed engineering by co-ordinating the engineering activities across multiple departments in conjunction with Dept Managers to deliver collective solutions. ·Provide a collective programme of engineering works for a portfolio of projects and communicate priorities to relevant departments. ·Perform all duties with and promote internally and externally a strong emphasis on health, safety, quality and environmental compliance and continuous improvement. ·Provide a point of contact for technical support to the Pre-Delivery and Project Delivery teams on matters concerning the design, construction and operation of Transmission infrastructure. ·Receive engineering queries, assess, distribute to relevant parties and coordinate a collective response/solution. ·Assess engineering documentation, feasibility and compliance with client and IEC requirements and support the preparation of accurate budgets and resource forecasts ·Co-ordinate technical assessment of tender submissions and report recommendations to the Engineering Manager and/or clients. ·Support the development of engineering solutions & documentation for input to System Construction Authorisation (SCA), Project Technical Specifications and BETTA documentation. ·Co-ordinate engineering designs, equipment and construction specifications in accordance with current legislation, policies and operational requirements to provide end to end integrated solutions. ·Co-ordinate tender assessment of equipment, services and materials (including suppliers) ·Preparation of project quality documentation following all IEC and client quality processes and provide and meet deliverables for PQP’s. ·Evaluate designs and facilitate the application of ‘new ideas’, technical developments, new equipment and alternative-working methods to provide cost savings, efficiencies and improved safety. ·Represent IEC nationally and internationally on working groups, seminars and industry forums or similar. ·Support Dept Heads in the development of national and international standards or other regulatory matters related to transmission network engineering to reflect the requirements of IEC and clients
