Our strategy is to exploit our nuclear capabilities to create a business focusing on new build manufacturing services, in service reactor plant support and lifetime extension, and future concept development activities.Opportunities exist within our engineering team for Engineers with Special Purpose Machinery Experience to develop solutions to meet customer demands in support of in-service plant and equipment.

Person specification
With a degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline, you will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of bespoke in-service support solutions and inspections for Nuclear plant. You will interpret customer requirements and develop cost effective design solutions to meet these requirements. This will include design substantiation and support through manufacture and deployment.

You will apply techniques such as design for manufacture, design for assembly, concurrent engineering and rapid prototyping. In addition, you will plan, implement and report development and validation trials to support new designs.

Particular experience in any of the following would be advantageous : Mechanical Design, mechanism and machine design, handling equipment and manipulator design, metal working and cutting processes, fitting and fabrication, electrical control systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, CE marking, PUWER, materials for use in machines, mechanisms and cutting tools.

Candidates who are willing to travel and who are either members or working towards membership of a professional body will be at a distinct advantage.
