An international leader in engineering & construction within the Energy sector seeks an overhead line & cable design engineer. You will be responsible for developing and delivering engineering solutions from single line diagrams all the way through to detailed engineering design solution for all overhead line and cable related equipment for transmission networks (132kV and above). This will include providing the necessary basic and detailed engineering specs and designs for projects, innovation, effective technical support, advice and input throughout the lifecycle of the project.
Education & experience:
• Engineering degree / HND supported by a minmum of 3 years experience
• Knowledge of Transmission operator, REC or DNO health & safety requirements and compliance
• An understanding of IEC
• Proven experience in one of the following areas at voltages from 33kV to 400kV:
• Underground lines, insultaed cables and accessories
• Overhead lines and accessories
• Associated civil works
• AutoCAD, Tower, PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, etc…
